The great thing about bikes is that you can take them anywhere… and trial biker Julien Dupont takes that concept to the absolute limit.
The Frenchman recently visited the Red Bull Air Race season opener in Abu Dhabi, and after the event he stopped over in Tel Aviv, Israel, to have a little fun with his bike on a bridge in the city, as you can see from the pictures above and below. Dupont’s visit to the country coincided with the eight-day Jewish observance of Passover, with this bridge stunt aptly given the same name!
Incidentally, Julien’s surname is also apposite – ‘Dupont’ is the French equivalent of the name ‘Bridges’ in English.
'I’ve just come back from Israel very tired!' – Julien Dupont
The Tel Aviv jaunt is not the first time Dupont has combined trial biking with the pastime of parkour – where athletes (or to give them their proper name of traceur in French) overcome obstacles in the urban landscape through jumps and flips with their body alone. He caused a stir in the Hungarian capital Budapest last year with a similar ‘Trial-X’ performance, and braved the surrounding rush-hour traffic in the busiest metropolis in the Americas, Mexico City, last January (which you can see in this gallery).
“I’ve just come back from Israel very tired!” Julien begins in the latest blog on his website www.dupontandco.org. We’re really not surprised.
