This edition features the one and only Coco Solid. While mixtapes are often referred to as mash-ups of other people’s material, 'Pacific Rims' is a collection of original tracks by Coco Solid, featuring musicians from across the globe. She has handpicked collaborators to create the turbo 28-minute mix, which incorporates elements of hip hop, electronica, new wave, and dance - while still staying true to her trademark rap style. 'Pacific Rims' features musicians close to home, as well as many international friends Coco made while attending the Red Bull Music Academy in Barcelona back in 2008. The mixtape is essentially a diary entry of Solid’s creative process over the years. 'Pacific Rims' was manufactured in a limited edition cassette run of 400 and sold at Coco's gigs.
