Just one day before the third stop of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2010 New Zealand’s Levi Sherwood took top spot in Qualifying on Red Square in the heart of Moscow. Second place went to the reigning Red Bull X-Fighters Champion, Nate Adams (USA). On Saturday night, the first ever Red Bull X-Fighters event on Russian soil will take place in front of over 50,000 fans, with the international FMX elite battling it out for victory in the Russian capital.

In the searing heat of the Russian summer it was young gun Levi Sherwood who was able to prove his class to take the win during Qualifying ahead of Nate Adams (2.) and Australia’s Robbie Maddison (3.). Against the crème-de-la-crème of the freestyle motocross scene it was the 18-year-old from New Zealand who managed to master the Red Square course and convince the Judges.

After the first two stops of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2010 Norway’s Andrè Villa leads the overall standings, followed closely by 2009 champion Nate Adams (USA) and the winner of the previous stop in Giza (EGY), Adam Jones (USA). A crowd of 55,000 fans are expected to pack Red Square on Saturday night to watch the best FMX riders on the planet go head-to-head.
