Kadet is a stone pop band formed June 10th of 2009 by Oscar Hemingway and Thomas Parker.
Kadet spent their first year and half together playing small shows, writing lots of songs and recording demos. In November of 2010 they released a single called 'Madness' and shortly after won best debut act at 'Parachute' winning a coveted slot on the festivals main stage. A few months later they began recording their debut EP 'Bows & Arrows' which was released in August of 2011 and followed by many shows up and down the nation including support slots with Kiwi heroes 'The Exponents' and a special set at Parachute 2012. Musically they draw influence from many roots, from Blur to The Police to REM to Old Hymns.
For Kadet 2012 will be there biggest yet. So stay tuned for shows and upcoming releases.
