They all came to conquer, but only one would be crowned King!
When over 60 competitors took the slopes of Coronet Peak on Saturday they all had the same thing in mind and that was to be the new "King of Bob"
The field was split into 15 man heats where competitors battled each other down the course with gravity as their loyal comrade. Spills and thrills were a plenty and it's easy to see why when looking at the sled that was propelling competitors down the mountain side. The King of Bob sleds are built for speed, a hard plastic base with nothing more than a big handle to hang on to for the ride!
The top 8 of each heat went through to the two semi finals for another battle, the two semi finals produced a 16 man Prelim Final, from this the top 10 competitors were into the Grand Final. It was time to see who would wear the crown....The final was an amazing ride with all looking to push ahead and take the glory. When the snow cleared the was one left standing and his name was Jack Rowe. Jack won hinself a "Bob" and a years supply of Red Bull!
Just for the record Oli Shipp took out second and 3rd went to Mike Ellis.
King of Bob is the perfect execution for our brands lighter side, it's a balance of body and mind, anyone can enter and do it and it's incredibly fun!
Jack Rowe you are the King of Bob!
