Sebastian Vettel managed to maintain Red Bull Racing’s dominance in qualifying by grabbing pole positions for the sixth time this season. We catch up with the young German…
‘Wow, what can I say? It was really tight at the end of the Q3. I just tried to make the best out of my last lap and give everything I had.
In the end, it paid off. The pole position on the clean side of the track is definitely the best place in the field. I hope that the start will go well and I'll be able to enjoy a clear ride to the flag.
We weren’t really surprised by that Ferraris were fast, after all they’ve been on top form all weekend. Their car seems really well suited to Hockenheim and I guess that proves that every track has different demands.
But I feel really comfortable with my car and I think that we'll have a good race.
I had a very special feeling when all the fans stood up and applauded at the end of qualifying. That was simply amazing and that’s why I would really like to win the race for all of them tomorrow - to show them how much their support means to me and say thank you.
Speak to you after the race.'
