It was job done for Honda at the two Sepang tests in Malaysia, and now there’s just one more in Qatar before the MotoGP season proper begins there with the night race on March 20 – and Honda star Dani Pedrosa can’t wait.
Hi everyone!
Every time I talk to you, there is less time left to the start of the MotoGP world championship, and the truth is that I really want to start racing. These last few days, as you know, I’ve packed in plenty of preparation to get into the best shape possible for the last pre-season test in Qatar. It is a different circuit and its characteristics do mean you have to prepare as intensely as possible.
The latest results we obtained in Sepang tests make us optimistic for the start of the world championship, optimistic but with our feet on the ground. Our goal now is to verify in Qatar the good results we have had so far.
'Work to regain my strength has paid off'
We're happy, the bike is working well and we just need to reaffirm those feelings in Qatar, as each circuit requires different things and you all know how important consistency is during a season. We want to make sure that we can be at the same level we’ve reached so far in the testing we've done this pre-season in Malaysia.
As for the shoulder, I can tell you that things are going very well. It has improved a lot during these last few days and work to regain my strength has paid off. I completed the last test with a good feeling. We also now have a few days of preparation ahead in the gym, so I will try to finally recapture that little bit of strength that I have yet to find again.
Until next week…
Dani
