The Quiksilver Pro France is back for 2011. For nearly 10 years now, the world’s elite surfers from men’s professional surfing have landed in France to compete in the Quiksilver Pro. The only French event and the first on the European leg of the elite ASP Men’s World Surfing Championship. The stars of the shortboard, will absolutely electrify the famous Landes beach breaks, a widely regarded world-class spot, especially at this time of year when massive swells promise ideal conditions. This year, the show featuring all the top names of international surfing will be spiced up even further by a race for the title of World Champion, and the musical lineup for the festival is almost just as exciting.
This is a new era for surfing, with new statutes and regulations which narrowed the number of competitors from 45 to 32. The world elite, now known as 'ASP World Title Race' will force the surfers to pull out all the stops to score big. The new rules and judging criteria actively promote new school moves, which should mean the French are in for a spectacular event.
