- About this Image
- After possibly the longest driver–team courtship ever, Alonso is finally in the red car. He says that driving a Ferrari means more to him than his two world championships (2005 and ’06 for Renault), but whether he will make it work in a set-up where his team-mate Felipe Massa has his legs firmly under the kitchen table, but where he will expect to be top man himself, remains to be seen. Widely regarded as F1’s best driver, if the Scuderia give him the best car as well, he should win… but remember what happened at McLaren? Alonso back to Renault in 2011? Watch this space.
