- About this Videos
- George and Queen are Neil Newton, Immi Paterson, Rich Pharaoh, and Pandu Samarasinghe. Neil and Immi met at Otago University in 2001, and played in numerous bands together. They moved to Auckland in 2004 and formed George and Queen. For ‘The Wind is Up’, George and Queen’s second album, Neil and Immi were joined by drummer Rich and bassist Pandu. It was recorded at Venn Studios with Dave Holmes and mastered by Steve Hall, Future Disc in 2008. The single ‘Lemonade’ was very successful, and went to #1 on 95bFM. This success gained them a spot in the 2009 Big Day Out. With the same line-up the band entered the studio in 2009 to record their third album ‘Teenagers and Grownups’. The album will be released mid April 2010 on Gone Quiet Records, and features singles ‘Hut 234′ and ‘Not Dying Man’.
